Roles
IT Volunteer
GIVIT is seeking a Brisbane-based volunteer with a passion for all things IT to join the team for 2-8 hours/week to assist in routine maintenance including software support and upgrades, hardware set up and general IT. We are also looking for someone to assist with the refurbishment of devices that have been donated so that they can be made ready to match with requests on the GIVIT website. If you’re interested, please fill out the form below or send a resume to hr@givit.org.au.
Volunteer Engagement Officer
The purpose of this voluntary role is to raise awareness of GIVIT across Australia with donors and community organisations, encourage registration of new eligible organisations to the GIVIT service, re-engage inactive organisations and provide training and development for charity team members to build uptake of the GIVIT platform.
Volunteer Administration Officer
The purpose of this voluntary role is to support GIVIT's operational team through our online donation management system. This role will involve general administration including seeking invoices, reference-checking registered users, researching data in preparation for times of disaster, and supporting projects and appeals.
Specialised disaster recovery support
While severe weather events can happen at any time, each year the GIVIT team prepare for a busy storm season (which runs October to March). During the recovery of a disaster, our team reaches full capacity and we often require extra support. If you are interested in supporting GIVIT’s work specifically during disaster recovery then please fill out the volunteer expression of interest application form below.
We require skilled volunteers who specialise in fields of logistics, donation management, disaster recovery, administration, research, data entry, communications and/or community engagement and development. These roles will support our current team as their workload increases significantly during disaster events. Your support during the recovery of a disaster or emergency will make an incredible difference. We look forward to hearing from you.
Please note, you will be required to pass a police check upon acceptance of any position.
