Our mission is to use technology to match generosity with genuine need
We do this by connecting donors who want to give money, goods or time, with charities and organisation seeking material support for the people they’re helping.
From school shoes to ensure a mum escaping domestic violence can enrol her kids at a new school, to a new hot water system enabling an elderly couple whose home burned down in a bushfire to have warm showers during winter, or an online English tutor to help a recently arrived refugee to get a job – GIVIT brings donors and people doing it tough together, with the potential to change lives through one act of kindness.

Our vision is to have a positive impact on the lives of people and communities in need through effective donation management
GIVIT.org.au is a place where charities helping people in need can ask for exactly what’s needed, and generous people can give how it suits them. With over 8 million goods and services provided to people in need, it’s working well!
What else is important to us?
Transparency
The GIVIT platform allows donors to see exactly where their donation is going by choosing the request or cause they would like to give to.
Sustainability & the circular economy
We divert useable goods from public and corporate donors into the hands of people doing it tough, ensuring it doesn’t end up in landfill.
Supporting Australia's hard-working charities
With more than 4,900 partner charities across the country, using GIVIT to access essential goods and services helps organisations focus on what they do best – helping people.
Responsible giving
Unrequested and uncoordinated donations can do more harm than good. This is particularly the case in disasters where unsolicited donations can often hamper recovery. GIVIT ensures people get exactly what they need, when they need it.
Dignity, safety and self-empowerment for people in need
Through GIVIT, people doing it tough are given the dignity and independence of asking for the exact goods or services to suit their unique needs and circumstances.
Our commitment to First Nations Australians
GIVIT’s vision for reconciliation is a culture that represents equity and equality and embraces respectful relationships between First Nations Peoples and the wider community.
GIVIT’s model of matching generosity with the specific needs of our charity partners gives First Nations communities a voice, to ensure their needs are met without assumption or judgement. are met without assumption or judgement.
