We do this because we truly believe that borrowing rather than buying is better for the planet, better for our wallets and better for our communities.

We are an incorporated association not-for-profit run entirely by volunteers.

Griffith University

Griffith University offers opportunities for long-term aged care residents who are lonely and isolated to participate in activities that connect them with 3rd year students studying and interested in the challenges confronting the elderly. One of the services involves students individually spending 1 to 2 hours per week meeting with their resident and recording their life story/biography over an 8-10 week period.

Offering young people an opportunity to reconnect with education in a setting that is non-judgemental, inclusive and flexible in the way it engaged them in their learning.

eWaste Connection

A not for profit enterprise that runs NDIS approved workshops to assist with pathways to paid employment. Recycles ewaste and uses this in programs.

Hillsong CityCare Australia

Activities which help to create healthy families and safe inclusive communities, reducing vulnerabilities for children and youth, women, refugees, and asylum seekers and first nation people, empowering them to lead and impact in every sphere of life. Activities include emergency food relief, self esteem programs, youth mentoring, English classes, domestic and family violence support, mental health services and community inclusion events.

The Pyjama Foundation

We provide children in out of home care the opportunity to change the direction of their lives with learning, life skills and confidence. We recruit, screen, train and support volunteers (learning mentors) who are matched with a child in care, spending time with them once a week, focusing on learning-based activities. Volunteers read books, play educational games and help children with their homework. Most importantly, the volunteers give children in out of home care a chance to reach their life potential. Children in care have the lowest education outcomes nationally. By improving their learning skills, The Pyjama Foundation is making a positive, life-long impact

Brisbane South Division - Accoras - Yeerongpilly

Accoras has been delivering a range of early-intervention mental health and wellbeing services for nearly 30 years. We work with children, young people, adults, families and communities across South-East Queensland and Northern New South Wales.

More than 120 team members provide information, support and clinical services across four key streams - Child, youth and family services - Employment services - Psychology services - Community education services.

We know the right support at the right time can make a big difference as we work towards achieving our vision of ‘good mental health for all’.

Mount Gravatt Community Centre

Mount Gravatt Community Centre offers services and support to families and individuals living in Mt Gravatt and surrounding suburbs. Our support extends from advocacy to providing appropriate counselling and referral. Resources are available to all people contacting the Centre. Aged care and in-home support services are also provided to eligible community members.

Southside Community Care Inc.

Southside Community Care Inc. is a Specialist Homelessness Service providing crisis supported accommodation to homeless families. Our Family Support Workers assist tenants to develop a case management plan supporting them to address the issues surrounding their homelessness. A holistic approach is taken to support families to obtain long term affordable housing which includes practical support such as transport, brokerage, food assistance, budgeting and emotional support, as well as strong advocacy within the relevant government systems including Housing, Health & Medical, Child Safety, Legal and Social (Centrelink). We manage 16 crisis accommodation properties with a small staff of 4 part time employees and a small number of dedicated volunteers.

yourtown - Upper Mount Gravatt

We work with vulnerable young people in the Community and help get them in to employment and or training. We work to overcome any barriers including housing. Many of our young members find themselves iut of home without essential items.

Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Community Health Service Brisbane - Coopers Plains

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Health Service (ATSICHS) Brisbane is a not-for-profit community owned health care and human services organisation delivering on the unique health and wellbeing needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in greater Brisbane and Logan.

Our services include medical and dental clinics, child and family health services, youth services, social and emotional wellbeing programs and services, a midwifery hub, an aged care facility, and a variety of family and child support services including child protection, family wellbeing services, kindergarten programs and a child and family centre.

ATSICHS - Jajumbora Children & Family Centre

Jajumbora Children and Family Centre is a community controlled organisiation that provides early intervention and intensive family support.

Also providing culturally appropriate programs such as playgroups, school holiday programs, Mums & bub programs just to name a few.

We offer a range of programs and services for people of all ages and backgrounds.

Northwest Community Group Inc

We support people experiencing or at risk of experiencing homelessness. We do this through 3 x stands per week where we give out clothing, toiletries, blankets, tents, sleeping bags, air matresses etc.

We also run a program to help people who have gone from homelessness to housing, to help them get items they need to make their house a home.

Jabiru Community College

Jabiru Community Learning (Community Learning Ltd.) is an independent, non-government, flexible learning environment for young people in years 10, 11 and 12 who reside in Brisbane's Northern suburbs. Our young people are predominantly from disadvantaged backgrounds and experience a range of social barriers; including mental health & wellbeing issues that impact on their capacity to participate and engage in education.

Kurbingui Youth Development Ltd

Kurbingui Youth & Family Development Limited was established in 2001 primarily to provide and promote physical activities in the form of boxing as a means to developing strong, healthy and positive lifestyles for young people. Mr Syl Johns was the driving force behind this program, however he soon realised that there were more complex issues for these young people that required personal support and guidance. To address some of these issues, the “Yeaca Dhargo” Employment Program was born under the auspice of Mercy Family Services for the first year, and then transferred to the newly incorporated Kurbingui Youth Development Limited in 2001.

North East Community Support Group inc

Our program provides short term supported accommodation to families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

We provide secure affordable supported accommodation, Information, referrals across a range of services, assistance with budgeting, living skills and sustaining tenancy, and general tailored support.

Royal Flying Doctor Service Queensland Section

RFDS QLD operates 19 aircraft from nine operational bases located in Brisbane, Cairns, Townsville, Rockhampton, Bundaberg, Charleville, Mount Isa, Longreach and Roma.

The RFDS's emergency retrieval service operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, delivering the finest care to more than 290,000 Australians each year, that's one person every two minutes. This iconic service has expanded to provide regular transfers of patients for life-saving surgery such as organ transplants and heart surgery, delivering critical support to those who need it most.

The RFDS also delivers a broad range of essential health care services to rural and remote communities, including general practice, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, child and family health, social and emotional wellbeing, women's health and Drought Wellbeing Services.
