Recipient story

After Cyclone Alfred, church seeks AED and signage to improve community safety and emergency readiness in future disasters.
2025 Tropical Cyclone Alfred
Tamborine Mountain Presbyterian Church is seeking support through GIVIT to secure an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for public access.

During Cyclone Alfred, our church acted as a key community hub—providing meals, showers, charging stations, and hosting town hall meetings. This highlighted our role in supporting the community during crises.

Installing an AED on our external wall would offer life-saving assistance in cardiac emergencies, especially given our central Main Street location.

We also seek support for signage to clearly mark the AED location for quick access by residents, visitors, and first responders.

We are grateful for any assistance in making this vital resource available to our community.
