Items desperately needed for young mums and their babies
Help for New Mums - Urgent Need: Personal items for young mums and their babies, to use during a live-in parenting program
A Hobart-based organisation runs a live-in parenting and life skills program for young mums under 25 years. Founded in response to identifying a desperate need in Southern Tasmania for supported accommodation, this program is targeted towards young mums at risk of homelessness or having their infants removed into care due to a lack of appropriate accommodation and support.
When the mums arrive at the live-in parenting and life skills program with their babies, they require the below items:
- Books and stationery – for babies to age five
- Toothbrushes and toothpaste
- Sunscreen
- Shampoo and conditioner
- Hand sanitiser
- Body wash
- Towel sets
- King single sheets, and sheet sets
Your donations will go a long way to providing care and comfort to these mums and their babies as they adjust to a new lifestyle.
