Queensland Advocacy for Inclusion (QAI)

QAI is a systemic and independent advocacy organisation and specialist community legal center for people with disability.
- Human rights law: provides specialist legal assistance to vulnerable people with disability in Queensland
- Mental Health Advocacy is a specialist legal service dedicated to providing information, advice, referrals and representation in relation to involuntary treatment under the Mental Health Act 2016 (Qld)
- Justice Support Program provides non-legal advocacy for people with disability who are involved in the criminal justice system
- NDIS Appeals Support provides advocacy, support, and referral to people with disability and their families for National Disability Insurance Scheme reviews and appeals

Senior College offers an alternative learning pathway for Year 11 and Year 12 students.

Footprints Community - Housing Older Women Support Service

Older women are the fastest growing group of people at risk of housing distress and homelessness in Australia.

Footprints Housing Older Women Support Service (HOWSS) offers a Brisbane-based Hub, a state-wide online navigation and support service, inclusive of all older women experiencing housing distress or homelessness.

HOWSS provides a place where older women can receive:

• assistance to find housing and support assistance
• face-to-face contact with skilled staff
• volunteer peer support from people with lived experience
• telephone and online advice and advocacy
• outreach services
• information and linkages to other human service support agencies
• engagement and education sessions for older women, and the sector
• state-wide collaborative regional responses.

Immigrant Women's Support Service

The Immigrant Women's Support Service provided domestic and/or sexual violence support services to a total of 767 women from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds for the 2018-2019 financial year. In addition, a total of 207 individuals were assisted with emergency relief to alleviate financial distress.

An outline of our pilot Empowering Youth to Thrive project (EYTT).

Pathways to Resilience Charity Trust’s core area is to specialise in educating the educators (and people from cradle to grave) about how we can learn to change the brain and how we can improve social and emotional wellbeing in families and communities.

This pilot project moved from Browns Plains to a space in Loganholme.
We do not have in our current budget for some building materials, appliances and musical instruments, amps and drum kits.

To help young ATSI, Pacifica and non-indigenous youth (15-24) at risk of long term unemployment to either engage in further education or find and keep a job by building their social and emotional wellbeing skills using a neuroscience and growth mindset approach.

With more than 90 years working with children globally, Save the Children has been running programs in Australia for more than 60 years.

Save the Children started helping children in Australia in the 1950's. Our first Australian programs focused on early education for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children. With significant growth since then, we now run education and child protection programs for disadvantaged communities in urban, regional and remote locations right around Australia.

Sisters Inside Inc - Brisbane

Established in 1992, Sisters Inside is an independent community organisation based in Queensland, which advocates for the collective human rights of women and girls in prison, and their families, and provides services to address their individual needs.

Speaking Up for You

Speaking Up for You (SUFY) is an independent Individual Advocacy organisation for people with a disability who live in Brisbane, Moreton Bay and Redlands regions. We stand beside and with vulnerable people with disability so that they can feel confident their voice is heard.

Synapse

Synapse (formally the Brain Injury Association of Qld) is a NFP organisation that exists to support individuals whose behaviour challenges our understanding and has prevented inclusion within the community, and access to the supports needed. We support individuals with varied levels of both physical and cognitive disabilities.

The Music Trust - Resound Bushfire Appeal

Resound is a program of the Music Trust/Australian Arts Trust. We replace musical instruments and musical equipment lost in bushfires and floods with donated musical instruments and donated musical equipment.

We assist asylum seekers, refugees and homeless people with food, clothes, accommodation and household items.
Charitable purposes were pursued through the activities and provision of the services listed. Religious activities in particular were pursued through the coming together and sharing of worship, provision of christian education, nurture, pastoral care and engagement in mission.
