Community Friends

Communitty Friends is a community based organization located in West End. We support homeless people, people at risk of being homeless and disadvantaged groups. We supply over a 1000 meals per fortnight: this includes frozen dinners, fresh fruit and vegetables and other staples such as bread. We also provide HUGE quantities of free clothing, blankets, shoes and crockery and cutlery.

Communify - Asylum Circle

Asylum Circle is a collaborative project in Queensland that contributes to the support of people seeking asylum, and is auspiced by Communify Qld.

Communify QLD Brisbane - Jubilee Hall

Communify continues to assist people across all of life's stages. Our neighbourhood centres bring people together for mutual support and offer information and services. Our aged and community care services support people to manage activities of daily life. We provide specialist nursing services, allied health support, community transport and respite care. We also provide specialist services to support people experiencing homelessness, family relationship and parenting issues, challenges associated with mental and physical disabilities, and addiction.

QLD Homicide Victim Support Group

Responsible for the emotional support of Victims of homocide across QLD.
Provide education to Universities and the QPS in relation to the impact of Homicide on those close to the deceased.
Advocacy around legislative changes.
Research around violence to assist in its prevention.

Drug ARM - Brisbane South

Drug ARM is a specialist not-for-profit, non-government organisation that supports people, families and communities to achieve positive transformation through awareness, rehabilitation and management.

The Community Place Inc.

The Community Place Inc. operates two community centres in the Brisbane North area - Stafford and Kalinga. Our Community Centre is a non-profit community organisation that provides activities, places, opportunities and services for people to connect, share and learn together. The Community Place facilitates the development of wellbeing for all members of the community. We provide a connected and inclusive service to support social, cultural and community growth. We offer a wide variety of weekly free programs and activities for the whole community. We have a focus on providing educational support, social support, community support and community development programs for the whole community.

Community Plus+ - Yeronga Community Centre

The Yeronga Community Centre has been providing a helping hand to the local community since we opened our doors in September 2012.

Grown from the efforts of the Yeronga Flood Recovery Centre – a local community initiative that responded locally to the Brisbane Floods of 2011.

Now we continue that tradition by providing a friendly space for people to meet, use our facilities, create connections, learn new things and access support.

Care Kits for Kids Qld

Care Kits for Kids Qld are all volunteers who together with community create Care Kits for Qld children in need.
We provide free Care Kits (new backpacks containing 2 days' new clothing, toiletries, education supplies, toys, books and hand crafted quilt or wrap to Qld children in need through Qld child protection, Qld children's services, foster & kinship care, domestic violence, indigenous and services in schools.
We create and transport our Care Kits through community generosity: in-kind and financial donations, grants and fundraising.

Rural Aid Ltd

Rural Aid was founded in 2015 to provide a holistic support program to rural Australia. The starting point for the charity was the success of the Buy a Bale campaign, which to date has received over $4.5 million in donations and distributed this through fodder, hampers and more. Teen Challenge QLD

Teen Challenge QLD assists young men 16-25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness through our Crisis Accommodation. We also operate two residential rehabilitation centres for males and females (16-39) who struggle with life controlling issues such as drug/alcohol addiction, self-harm, depression, abuse, prostitution and other issues. With all our services we aim to bring hope and healing to these young people and to help them re-enter the community with a hope for their future.

The Nest Community Inc

The Nest Community is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit organisation created to develop and maintain a community for the purposes of reducing social isolation, to provide advocacy, education and harm prevention strategies for women and children. We believe opportunities to learn, connect and create should be accessible to women and children of all backgrounds. With no government funding, each week over 50 volunteers generously donate their time and energy to keep our doors open. There are no paid staff and yet, since we opened our doors in 2014, we have have developed partnerships through out Brisbane, and over 3500 women have visited and connected in our urban retreat based in Everton Park, Brisbane. We believe fostering connections in the community will result in greater harmony and resilience. Our programs reduce social isolation through forming inter generational connections between women and children regardless of age, cultural or economic background.
