ARROS

ARROS works with young people with an intellectual or cognitive disability who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

The team’s outreach activities aim to help young people access safe, affordable and integrated accommodation; rebuild and strengthen existing relationships as well as develop new ones; and participate in communities, and develop the capacity of those communities to support them.

Community Living Association - BEROS

Outreach Case Management for young people aged 12-18 who have long term protection orders with Child Safety and are self placing in community. Beros also provides overnight emergency accommodation and after hours outreach support.

Community Living Association Inc. - Community Connections

Community Living Association Inc. (CLA) is a not-for-profit community organisation that was set up by a group of young people with disabilities, their families and supporters in the late 1980s.

Community Living Association Inc. - Community Living Program

Community Living Program (CLP) was established in 1987 as part of the Commonwealth Rehabilitation Service. The aim of the original program was to support young people with an intellectual/learning disability towards independence.

Today, CLA manages a range of programs that provide support, create opportunities and promote independence for people with disability or young people at risk. We work with families, young people at risk, people with mental health issues and people with cognitive disabilities.

Northside Connect

Northside Connect aims to build and encourage the local aspirations our north Brisbane community. Based in Nundah, we provide services such as legal advice, domestic violence support, practical relief from life stressors as well as a safe place to connect and reinforce the sense of community.

Benarrawa Community Development Association Inc

Benarrawa is a small and beautiful not for
profit community organisation. We work with
local people and other organisations for a just,

Islander Solidarity Group meets regularly to

INCH Housing Inc.


INCH Housing Inc. is an Incorporated Association which commenced in 1991 to provide safe, secure, accessible housing to families who are on low incomes on the North
side of Brisbane.

INCH provides housing solutions for people in need who are unable to access affordable or appropriate housing in the private housing market.

North West Youth Accommodation Service

NWYAS is a Specialist Homelessness Service which provides supported accommodation, case management and mobile support to young people at risk of, or experiencing homelessness.

Case Workers support young people and young families aged between 16 and 25 years old with developing the living skills and tenancy education required to manage indepednet housing in the greater community. Case Workers support young people to link in with services to address their identified concerns, which could include accessing services for mental health support, healthly relationships and counselling, parenting skills and emplyment and training.

Institute for Urban Indigenous Health - Birthing in our Communities

Our team provides case management support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people experiencing mental health, drug and alcohol or chronic health issues within 5km of the CBD.

Tzu Chi Foundation - Runcorn

Buddhist Compassion Relief Tzu Chi Foundation is known for short as the Tzu Chi Foundation (Tzu Chi). We are an international humanitarian, and non-government organization (NGO) that originated in Taiwan with over 10 million members worldwide throughout 57 countries and operated by a worldwide network of volunteers and employees. We have been awarded special consultative status at the United Nations Economic & Social Council. The Foundation was founded by Master Cheng Yen, a Taiwanese Buddhist nun in 1966 as a Buddhist humanitarian organization and has several sub-organizations, such as the Tzu Chi International Medical Association (TIMA) and the Tzu Chi Collegiate Youth Association. Tzu Chi volunteers are mostly recognizable worldwide by the blue and white uniforms. The foundation's work includes free medical services, disaster relief and environmental work such as recycling of which we have over ten thousand stations worldwide.

It's Not Ok Projects

It's Not Ok Projects is an international organisation that fights for human rights and better communities. Our projects exist to restore, educate, equip, and provide hope to the oppressed, the trafficked, the vulnerable, the impoverished, and the at-risk. Current projects include the She Rescue Home (located in Cambodia), Community Care and The Ivory Project. Through Community Care Brisbane, we provide practical assistance to members of the community, including support groups, educational courses, food relief and a community garden. The Ivory Project is an initiative that provides new mums in tough situations with hygiene and essential baby items.

Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Community Health Service Brisbane - Family Participation Program

Family Participation Program (FPP) supports families when involved with the Department of Child Safety.

We facilitate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander family led decision making with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people and their families in the Brisbane and Logan region. Our FPP is here support families to mitigate immediate and ongoing risk, increase immediate and ongoing safety, identify family and community supports and help our mob keep our kids out of the system.

Our team can help families with:

- making decisions affecting them and their family
- Support families through the Investigation and Assessment process
- provide an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander convener to support your family through meetings with Child Safety
- organizing a safe and culturally appropriate space for meetings with the Department of Child Safety
- information and help to access services and programs to help and support your family.

All Saints Anglican Church - Chermside

As a busy parish church we are very much involved in helping the community around us as we have many disadvantaged people living in our area. We have refugees and migrants who we help to assimilate into our community, homeless people and people on Centrelink payments. We give out food packages to them and last year 251 packages and 54 Christmas hampers were distributed. Also at present we have organised days with volunteers helping

The Lodge Youth Support Service

The Lodge Youth Support Service is a not for profit community organisation providing medium to long term accommodation with twenty-four-hour support for at risk young people aged 16-25 years. Most young people accessing our services are from disadvantaged backgrounds and as a result many have experienced homelessness, trauma, isolation, family breakdown and poverty. Here at The Lodge we support these young people to address these issues and equip them with the skills necessary to live independently, break the cycle of homelessness and engage positively in the community.
