GIVIT Video - Boxing Bag Making a Difference
Working with charities to help young people in need
Every year, thousands of Australian young people experience tremendous hardship such as domestic and family violence, homelessness, drug and alcohol addiction and mental ill-health.
A simple donation like the boxing bag in this story was a way of letting off some steam in a positive way! The punching bag was donated to Perth Inner City Youth Service, and allows young people at the centre to let out their frustrations while getting some exercise.
Moving on and moving into a new home also requires lots of extras – all the real essentials like beds, washings machines and couches, everyday items which many of us take for granted and are the perfect gift for new beginnings. Perth Inner City Youth Service has obtained many of these items via GIVIT donations from generous donors.
