Unemployed young man living with poverty in Austere conditions
This young man had his camp burnt out and this has left him homeless. He has a large plastic container for water and ablutions. He has an old caravan which he sleeps in and a small camp site in the bush. He has no car and relies on his mother to take him to the shops in Lightning Ridge to get his groceries and walks when she has no petrol. He would ideally benefit by having an electric bike so he can go into town, for medical treatment, groceries and centrelink. The bike would allow him independence and take burden off his mother. He doesn’t have a generator which would be good for power so he can have lights and be able to use a fridge or have some sort of enjoyment. He has been living really rough and decided to live like this because he loves his camp with the quite and peaceful surroundings. He has received warm clothing and blankets in an effort to keep him warm during these winter months. Getting this young man back into society would be a joy to his family.
