How to get help through GIVIT
To access donated items or services through GIVIT, please connect with a support organisation registered with GIVIT that can assess your needs and provide assistance. This organisation can then place a request on GIVIT on your behalf. Click here for more information on how to get support through GIVIT.

Community Information and Resource Service Association Incorporated
We are 100 percent volunteer-run community organisation managing the unfunded Rainbow Beach Community Centre. We manage hall and meeting room bookings, provide public internet access, host outreach workers, auspice local unincorporated groups, run community events, free film nights, monthly markets and music events. We are the designated evacuation centre for the Cooloola Coast area in Gympie Regional Council area. We host public consultation sessions and public meetings for all level of government, and provide information and assistance to access government services and human services providers. We host Rainbow Beach Learning Community (activities for homeschooled students) and Rainbow Beach Community Pantry. We deliver an Emergency Relief service weekly at Rainbow Beach and Tin Can Bay. Workforce Australia agency APM visit clients in our rooms two days a week and we are registered with Centrelink as a Voluntary Work Organisation.

Community Links Wellbeing is a not-for-profit non-Government community organisation working in Wollondilly, Camden, Campbelltown and Wingecarribee Local Government Areas.
The service supports all members of the community and provides resources to help achieve positive personal and community outcomes through community development, events, groups, workshops, youth programs, crisis support, carer support, family support, Allied Health and Mental Health Services.
Community Living Association - BEROS
Outreach Case Management for young people aged 12-18 who have long term protection orders with Child Safety and are self placing in community. Beros also provides overnight emergency accommodation and after hours outreach support.

Community Living Program (CLP) was established in 1987 as part of the Commonwealth Rehabilitation Service. The aim of the original program was to support young people with an intellectual/learning disability towards independence.

West End Community House (WECH) actively contributes to building stronger, connected communities within West End and surrounding suburbs (the Kurilpa Peninsula).
Established in 1983 under the auspice of West End Uniting Church, now part of Community Plus+. WECH also operates the Kurilpa Kiosk at People’s Park in bustling Boundary Street.

Community Plus+ - Yeronga Community Centre
The Yeronga Community Centre has been providing a helping hand to the local community since we opened our doors in September 2012.
Grown from the efforts of the Yeronga Flood Recovery Centre – a local community initiative that responded locally to the Brisbane Floods of 2011.

Community Refugee Sponsorship Australia
CRSA is a new Australian charity working at the forefront of civil society efforts to encourage and support the establishment of a community refugee sponsorship program that would expand and improve Australia’s humanitarian migration program.
While working towards this goal, CRSA is also coordinating a ‘Group Mentorship Program’ (GMP) which is mobilising, screening and training local volunteer groups of everyday Australians across the country to provide practical support to newly arrived refugee households.
Community Restorative Centre
We are the lead provider of specialist throughcare, post-release, and reintegration programs for people transitioning from prison into community in NSW. We support people transitioning from prison into the community, particularly those who are at risk of homelessness and have difficulty accessing mainstream alcohol and other drug services. We support families of people in prison and can offer financial support for those travelling long distances to visit relatives in prison. We offer support to people attending 16 local courts in NSW through 50 trained volunteers. We present arts and music workshops in select prisons in NSW, and produce Jailbreak, a weekly radio program that talks about health issues for people in prison and connects prisoners to the community through stories, music and poetry. We provide practical information and referrals to anyone impacted by the criminal justice system. All of our programs aim to break entrenched cycles of disadvantage, offending and imprisonment.

Community Support Centre Innisfail Inc
Community Solutions Group (CSG) continued to provide programs and services to relieve disadvantaged, suffering, distress, misfortune, disability and/or helplessness and work proactively to enhance the physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing of people in regional communities. Based in Queensland, CSG became part of the Endeavour Foundation group of organisations in 2014. It is estimated that CSG assisted 9,000+ clients and their families in the 2015-156 financial year. CSG also successfully delivered the following major contracts: jobactive, Disability Employment Services, National Disability Coordination Officer, Personal Helpers and Mentors, Time for Change and others, all directly related to stated organisational objectives.Clients benefited from the positive and innovative approach to service delivery and accessed additional services via a diverse portfolio of services and active client referral processes. For example, our clients, particularly those who are most disadvantaged that may initially present for counselling services can then access case-management, training and/or employment programs. Client groups include (but are not restricted to) young people (including at-risk), indigenous, seniors, ex-offenders, families and those with mental health and substance abuse issues.
Community Support Frankston
Community Support Frankston is a not for profit volunteer based community organisation that provides comprehensive Emergency Relief and personal support to people experiencing crisis as the result of disadvantage. Our organisation has been established for over 50 years and remains the largest provider of Emergency Relief in the Frankston region.
Our organisation assists those most disadvantaged in the community with food vouchers, food parcels, fuel vouchers, fruit and vegetables, non-perishable food, essential medication, bill payment, registration, vehicle repairs, meal vouchers, etc, together with other basic essentials.

We provide engaging programs and a platform for social cohesion, particularly for those from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Nationalities. Many initiatives to meet the need of the most vulnerable in our community.
Companion House Assisting Survivors of Torture and Trauma Incorporated
Companion House is non-government community based organisation. We work with adults and children who have sought safety in Australia from persecution, torture and war related trauma. We believe that people who have survived torture, trauma and human rights violation should have access to services that respect, empower and promote recovery.

Conflict Resolution Service
As a charity organisation CRS deeps costs low to ensure the Canberra region can access services they require in a time of need
CRS is a not-for profit Organisation that has been supporting the Canberra Region in Despute Resolution Services for 30 years.
Our services include family dispute resolution, community mediation, crisis mediation to prevent youth homelesssness and conflict coaching for families and individuals. CRS also provides community education, workplace consultations, training and professional development for individuals and organisations.
Connect Family Support Program - Broadbeach State School
We support children with social and emotional development through life's challenges. We support our case load made up of the schools families, who are having identified issues with mental health, addiction, homelessness, disability and lack of resources. We supply second hand uniform, facilitate access other services to support the needs of our families and meet their identified goals. We can also support with needs such as funding for school excursions and clubs such as dance, and supply a tuckshop lunch to children when the family can not meet these needs.

To receive donated items, services or vouchers through GIVIT, you must first connect with a relevant support organisation who can assess your needs and provide assistance. This organisation can then place a request(s) on GIVIT on your behalf.

Thousands of organisations across Australia are registered with GIVIT, working across a variety of causes, hardships and demographics. Our priority is to respect and maintain the privacy, safety, dignity and independence of people reaching out for help. By connecting with a relevant support organisastion, your needs can be assessed and verified, and you can receive tailored support, which may include the organisation requesting items or services on your behalf through GIVIT.
The support organisation that is assisting you can request arrange of donated items and services through GIVIT on your behalf. This may include furniture, household items, whitegoods and appliances. You can also request baby items, toiletries, toys and educational supplies, kid’s or adult’s clothing, digital devices like mobile phones or laptops.
GIVIT may also be able to help you buy groceries, fuel or medication in the form of vouchers. You can check our ‘What’s needed’ list for an idea of what can be requested through GIVIT.
Your requests may be filled through a donor donating the money needed to purchase the item new, or through a donor donating the actual item or service.
Your support organisation can also request time and skills such as tradespeople, cleaners, health and social support, tutoring and transport assistance.

Please note that there is no guarantee that your request for donated items or services will be met. We’d love to meet every request placed on GIVIT, but your request being filled is dependent on donation(s) being made by donor(s).

If a natural disaster or emergency event has impacted you, lease visit your state or territory government’s disaster support page to see what assistance is available, including disaster payments, grants and financial aid.
Australian Capital Territory Government

Domestic and family violence
If your life is in danger, call Triple Zero 000 for emergency assistance.
If you have experienced or are at risk of family and domestic violence and/or sexual assault, contact the National Sexual Assault, Family & Domestic Violence Counselling Line on 1800 RESPECT (1800 737 732). 1800 RESPECT is also contactable via text, online chat or video call and is available 24 hours.
Financial hardship
The National Debt Helpine provides free, independent and confidential financial counselling via phone or live chat, Monday to Friday. You can call them on 1800 007 007.
Mob Strong Debt Helpline is a free advice service about money matters for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. They can be contacted on 1800 808 488, Monday to Friday.

Mental health, depression or anxiety
If you or someone else’s life is in daanger, call Triple Zero 000.
You can access 24/7 crisis support by calling Lifeline on 13 11 14. You can also contact Lifeline via text or online chat.
You can talk to a counsellor 24/7 through Beyond Blue. You can also access brief counselling with Beyond Blue via online chat.
If you’re a young person aged 12-25, you can talk to a trained clinician, you can contact Headspace 7 days a week between 9am and 1pm by calling 1800 650 890 or via online chat.
For First Nations Australians
If you’re a First Nations Australian and you are going through a tough time, you can call 13YARN (13 92 76) to talk with an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander crisis supporter.
Children or young people experiencing hardship
Children and young people aged 5 – 25 can access support through Kids Helpline by calling 1800 55 1800 or through online chat 24/7.
For people living with disability
The Disability Gateway is an Australian Government service to help people with disability, their family, friends and carers find the support they need. They can be contacted on 1800 643 787, Monday to Friday.
